Your Computing Environment on a USB Stick
While there are many ways to sync browsers, for those on the go basing key applications, or even an OS, from a USB flash drive can provide a better solution for creating a workable environment.
While many windows applications don’t need to actually be installed to run, you sometimes lose some settings/functionality. A site called, aptly enough, portableapps.com has tweaked a number of popular open source applications to work seamlessly from a flash drive.
