Alert: Users from within the Medical Enterprise network are unable to reach ISIS
We began receiving reports on 9/13/06 morning that users connecting from the Medical Enterprise network were unable to reach ISIS. We have been working with the Medical Enterprise networking staff to determine the cause of the problem and to find a solution.
At this time, we are still not receiving network traffic from the Medical Enterprise network to the subnet ISIS is on. We have no estimated timeframe for the resolution of the outage. We know that the problem is isolated to the networks within the Medical Enterprise private IP network. However, it is unclear what aspect of Mednet’s configuration is causing the conflict.
ISIS is available to all other netowrks.
There are a couple of short-term workarounds:
- Try to VPN to the campus network (Bruin Online VPN),
- Access the applications through a non-Mednet department on campus. As far as we can tell, the applications are fully accessible throughout the rest of the campus/outside the campus.
